Holyoke Media Presents: The Extraordinaiire Way. Made in Holyoke

On January 19, 2023, in celebration of what it would have been his 35th birthday, Albion street in The Flats in Holyoke, was dedicated to honor, and remember Justin Chavez, Extraordinaiire, a young artist rapper and community organizer, who sadly and unexpectedly passed away on April 17th, 2022. As a way to honor, remember, and celebrate the accomplishments of Justin Chavez, we invited his mother, Elsie Rodríguez García to share with us her memories and thoughts of Justin as a young emerging artist, as a son, as a community leader who took inspiration from his mother's example, and how the legacy of Extraordinaiire will continue inspiring the communities in Holyoke, MA. #MadeInHolyoke
