As I read your stories I'm so inspired by your courage and your commitment to making your own world a better place and blessing the lives of others with your donations and words of support.</p> <p>Wouldn't it be cool if we shared some of the things we've learned from each other with house cleaners, organizers, and family members trying to help a loved one who often say the wrong things or try to get rid of stuff in a way that is painful?</p> <p>I read a story in our FB group the other day that broke my heart about a guy who went to all this work stripping and painting his house. It was an epic project and in the winter no less. 👏👏👏 Neighbors came by and instead of admiring his dedication to upgrading his home, they nit-picked a spot he hadn't yet painted. The comments were thoughtless and cruel. 😢 And it's easy to say the wrong things when you don't know the whole story.</p> <p>Help me tell the others the whole story.</p> <p>I'm compiling a book of best things to say, best tips, inspirational stories from hoarders who overcame challenges and fear, and more in a book called Hoarding: Advice From a Friend. It's a book from the people, for the people.
