<p>In 1993 we were introduced to the <a href='https://movies.disney.com/the-nightmare-before-christmas'>Nightmare Before Christmas</a>, a stop-motion animated musical dreamed up by <a href='https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000318/'>Tim Burton</a> and directed by <a href='https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0783139/'>Henry Selick</a>. It was released on VHS almost a year later, on DVD in 1997, and since then has moved from a 'cult classic' to a cultural phenomenon that is synonymous with not one, but two major holidays in many people's minds.
