<p>Herb was given the gift of freedom from alcohol February 21, 1984. As the result of the application of the Twelve Steps as contained “precisely” in the AA Big Book he experienced a profound spiritual awakening in 1988. Since then, he has been very involved in carrying the message of recovery through presentations, facilitating workshops, and leading retreats.<br/> He has authored 3 books (see below)<br/> Many have found them helpful for accessing the instructions and confirming the process contained in the Big Book for experiencing and sustaining a spiritual awakening.<br/>Herb is widowed, has three adult children, seven grandchildren, and lives in Rancho<br/>Palos Verdes, California.<br/><br/>Reco12 is an organization with the mission of learning and sharing the similarities of addiction of all kinds and the similarities of recovery from all afflictions and addictions, and gaining and sharing tools and hope from others who are trudging this road.
