Helping Regulators and Drug Developers Understand the Challenges of Living with Fabry Disease

<p>Fabry disease is a progressive disorder that affects organs throughout the body including the heart, kidneys, and nervous system. People with the condition may suffer for years before obtaining a diagnosis. Jack Johnson, who co-founded the Fabry Support and Information Group, traced Fabry disease back more than five generations in his family. We spoke to Johnson about his own experience with the condition, his journey into advocacy, and a recent externally-led Patient-Focused Drug Development meeting to help regulators and drug developers understand the need for new therapies to address the challenges of living with the disease.</p>
