<p>This is Pentecost Sunday!</p> <p>-Today's message is about Authority and Power and where it comes from, and what we can do about it.</p> <p>Matt 3:11 “I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.</p> <p><br></p> <p><strong>Power and Authority</strong></p> <p>-<em>Authority</em> is from Jesus</p> <p>-Our <em>power</em> should come from the Holy Spirit</p> <p>Lev 23</p> <p>You shall count for yourselves</p> <p>Count 50 days after the sabbath</p> <p>Jn 14</p> <p>Jesus -This is imperative for you that I go and the Holy Spirit comes</p> <p><br></p> <p>Zeph 3:9</p> <p>I will restore them with one language to a pure language</p> <p><br></p> <p>Is 28:11</p> <p>With stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to his people</p> <p>One accord</p> <p><br></p> <p>Acts 19:6</p> <p>-this event happens 24 years after Pentecost</p> <p>The Holy Spirit came upon them</p> <p>Paul asked if they had been baptized..They said we were baptized with John’s baptism</p> <p>Paul told them that was the baptism of repentance</p> <p>Suddenly the Holy Spirit descended on them and began to speak in other tongues</p> <p><br></p> <p>40 days Jesus showed himself to many after his resurrection</p> <p>10 days the 120 huddled together in the Jerusalem upper room waiting for they didn’t know what to expect</p> <p>50 days total</p> <p><br></p> <p>Matt 24:14 ―And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come</p> <p>Gospel of the kingdom</p> <p>After he preached the Kingdom, He healed all kinds of sickness and diseases</p> <p>Where the gospel of the Kingdom of God is preached, then the healing and miracles come</p> <p><br></p> <p>One difference between nurseries and a graveyard</p> <p>One has order the other has life</p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p>
