This is called “Head in the Clouds vs Head in the Trenches” And this is a term that I originally learned from Gary Vee but I added my own little twist to it. Basically what “Head in the Clouds” means is having your head poked out of the business to plan where the business is going and create the vision of your future. Then “Head in the Trenches” means pulling yourself back down to earth and executing that plan you came up with and turning your vision into a reality. You can’t be stuck in one for too long. If you are stuck in the trenches for too long you are just going to be on a never-ending hamster wheel doing the same things every single day. And if you are stuck in the clouds too long your business’s day-to-day is going to take a hit and suffer. You have to find your own personal balance, you will have different seasons as your business grows.
