The series revolves around the feuding factions of the wealthy Gioberti/Channing family in the California wine industry set in the fictitious Tuscany Valley, located northeast of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Francisco" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">San Francisco</a> and modeled after the real <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napa_Valley_AVA" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Napa Valley</a>.
