Hair Flicking Around Black Women: A Flaky Situation
~{Hasan Marwan}~
Description
This episode is dedicated to women of color who have experienced discomfort and discrimination because of our hair. Wearing our natural hair comes at a cost in certain regions of the country. I am noticing a trend in that some women of all backgrounds secretly believe we are inferior and have low self esteem in regards of our hair. Our bodies have been objectified even by musicians and entertainers that look like us. I want black women to find their voice and to know the strength and beauty that resides within. When women walk around flicking their hair when they see you,be sure to sing the flick flick song ๐ต. Our behinds have been worshipped yet we are dismissed as being jezebel hoars are cast in the shadows. I am bringing to light my experiences and the experiences of many people of color. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/hair-and-skin-alchemy/support
