Green Light For Ennis Local Transport Plan

Ennis has been given the green light for a landmark local transport programme. Clare County Council has signed a contract with engineering firm Systra Ltd for the delivery of a framework aimed at identifying future active travel projects in the town and its surrounding areas. The Ennis Area Based Transport Assessment and Local Transport Plan will now guide funding for infrastructure that will improve the mobility of pedestrians, cyclists and motorists. Mayor of Ennis, Fianna Fáil Councillor Pat Daly says the development will play a critical role in the growth of the entire catchment area.
