Gospel of Mark - Mark 9:22-32 - Prog 43

We conclude Mark’s words on the incident of Jesus’ casting out of a spirit from a young boy and the disciples’ question concerning why they were not able to cast out that tormenting spirit. Once again, our Lord said this kind of spirit could only be cast out by the kind of faith that believes that with God, all things are possible. From then on, Mark writes that our Lord Jesus taught His disciples that He, the Son of Man was going to be delivered up into the hands of men, and be killed and after three days rise again. This is now the 3rd time in this chapter that the Lord Jesus Christ points out His death and resurrection to His disciples who had yet to understand what He meant.
