Gospel of Mark - Mark 5:6-20 - Prog 26

Our study resumes in Mark 5:6 as Jesus confronts an unclean spirit. Notice in vs 8 Jesus’ command and in vs 13 Jesus’ permission. Jesus has authority over spirits to this day. Dr. Mitchell explains the reason people wanted Jesus to leave their region. They had suffered an economic loss. Then in verses 19-20, observe that the man was to proclaim what great things the Lord had done for him, so he told what great things Jesus had done for him. Do you have things, great or small that the Lord Jesus has done for you that you can tell others about? How about His forgiveness of sins to you? How about God declaring you to be as righteous as the Savior thru faith in Christ? Is this not a great thing? Yes indeed.
