Dr. Mitchell gives us an overview of a new teaching method that Jesus begins to employ with the people. Jesus has taught the gospel to people thru-out the first 3 chapters as Mark presents Him. But now Our Lord begins to teach in parables. Dr. Mitchell will give the definition of a parable. Jesus taught parables to those outside, but truth to His disciples who were with Him. The Lord Jesus used parables to draw the crowds to Himself, if only they would hear. God is always ready to reveal the Savior and truth to open hearts. Jesus Himself knew the Scriptures for He quotes Isaiah 6:9-10.
