Gospel of Mark - Mark 10:9-16 - Prog 47

<p><br>The Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast continues in the Gospel of Mark. We are in chapter 10. We continue on from our previous lesson where Jesus had been confronted by the Pharisees as to whether it was lawful, e.g. legal for a man to send his wife away, e.g. divorce her. It concludes with Jesus welcoming little children. Jesus speaks of God’s original purpose for man and woman to be joined together and to become one flesh no longer being two but one flesh.</p> <p> Jesus pinpoints the reason why divorce occurs. It’s simply because of hardness of heart. Hardness of heart is a compound word meaning a ‘shriveled heart’, dried up and without any feeling, hardened, without any affection.
