The introduction to the Gospel of Mark resumes with Dr. Mitchell’s discussing the four gospels marking out several unique features of each gospel. Our Savior is presented in each gospel from the perspective of the inspired author of that gospel. Matthew writes to the Jewish believers presenting Jesus as King and Messiah. Mark shows Jesus as a Man - diligent in serving the Lord. Luke reveals our Lord as a Man among men, a sinless Man and Savior. John reveals Jesus Christ as God in the flesh, the only begotten Son of the Father. The four Gospels are a unique genre in Bible literature. They present Jesus, His preeminent Person - rather than His complete history or biography. Let’s continue our study in this introduction to the Gospel of Mark with our teacher, Dr. John G. Mitchell.
