Gospel of Luke 21:5-24 - Prog 90

In this study, Dr. Mitchell will cover three subjects our Lord addresses: 1. The destruction of the temple, 2. The destruction of the city, and 3. The worldwide Gentile dominion known as the times of the gentiles. Our study now turns to the predictions of our Lord Jesus Christ found in Luke 21. We begin with verse 5. While Jesus and the disciples were looking at the temple, where the poor widow tossed in her last bit of money, Jesus now turns to speaking about the temple itself. At this point Jesus’ disciples begin to ask the Lord questions. They asked a “when” question and a “what” question. Dr. Mitchell brings out the fact that Luke is more occupied with the temple and the city, while Matthew and Mark deal more with end time events.
