But the company has also been expanding its reach within the smart home through partnerships with popular household appliance manufacturers. Google is also developing support for <a href="https://www.theverge.com/2021/5/19/22444571/google-interconnected-matter-smart-home-standard-android-nest-details-io-2021"><u>Matter</u></a>, the initiative that will make a new generation of smart home devices compatible with multiple voice assistants including Alexa, Siri, Google Assistant, and more. By tapping into the existing smart home networks of high-profile brands, Google is scaling the presence of the Assistant.
