Gen 37:5 "And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren; and they hated him yet the more" Joseph was Jacob' 11th son but he was the favored one. He gave him a special coat which identified him as the primary heir. His brothers hated him because of the coat and because he began to have dreams of the future which he articulated. The fulfilment of those dreams took him down a path of suffering but in the fulness of time he was ushered into his destiny because he was God's Top Pick.
