If We Can Change the Inner Image We Can Change and Mold the Life </p><p>Prov 23:7 As a man thinks in his heart, so is he… </p><ul><li>Self-image - The belief we have about ourselves because of what we look like and what people have said about us, it’s the picture we have painted of ourselves based off our outward situations, circumstances, or voices</li></ul><p>Gen 1:27-28 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.</p><p>Gen 3:11 “Who told you that you were naked?”</p><p><br/></p><p>2. How Our Self-Image is Developed - Where Did We Learn All This From?</p><p>Eph 2:1 (msg) You let the world, which doesn’t know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. </p><p>1 Jn 5:19 (nlt) We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one.</p><ul><li>Most have been raised in the culture and belief system of this world</li><li>We’ve learned from the world: The news, Hollywood, music, social media, the culture, everything we learned taught us how to live apart from God and in sin which causes death and brings bondage</li><li>Some bondages that may be present: fear, perversion, drug addiction, deception, witchcraft, pride, rebellion, unfaithfulness, depression, sickness, disease, manipulation, bitterness etc...</li></ul><p>John 8:32 You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free</p><p><br/></p><p>3. We Must Reject the Old Self-Image and Embrace the New Image</p><p><em>Eph 4:24 Put on your new nature, created to be like God</em></p><ul><li>We must believe &amp; declare what God’s truth says about us now </li></ul><ol><li>I am a child of God and He is now my Father </li></ol><p>Rom 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God</p><p>b.
