Ghana E-Levy Passed: The Final Whistle & What Next? | PodBites Ep. 21

<p>Tuesday 29th March was a bittersweet day Ghanaian Citizen. <br/><br/><a href='https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60919024'>Ghana qualified for the World Cup 2022</a> and had the upper hand in the classic Jollof  Derby.  They also  celebrated the birthday of the President of the Republic of Ghana, none other than H.E Nana Akuffo-Addo.  On this same day, the<a href='https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/3/29/ghana-lawmakers-pass-contested-tax-bill'> E-levy was passed</a>.</p><p>The Tax levy was recently reduced from 1.75% to 1.5%. There were hopes this would eventually be reduced to 0%.
