Funkier Radio Episode 72 - Rortron Guest Mix

For the first show of the new year I brought you some new music, but made the resolution to keep things funky and varied as I always have. Alongside promos and new heat from The Magic Track, Twin Sun, Henry Navarro, Fran Deeper and Andy Bach I throw in a couple of oldies from Chanson and Harvey Mason, and some oh so funky delicacies from Opolopo, Buscrates and Kzyboost. Hour 2 is all about Eugene, Oregon-based DJ Rory Beck, AKA Rortron. Rortron’s mixes caught my ears a little while back - he plays exactly my kind of funky, varied but high quality, groovy music. Rortron started DJing and producing at the beginning of 2018 after getting laid off from his job, and since then he’s fallen in love with providing good vibes on the dance floor and in your headphones and home speakers. His enthusiasm for dancing and appreciating amazing shows has shaped him to always make his sets and performances memorable, and he’s always moving and smiling when he DJs. He’s mixed up a superb hour and a bit of tunes for Funkier Radio, keeping things high energy, with some housed up edits of big, classic tunes seamlessly blended up alongside some less well known but no less banging tunes, and one or two cheeky little exotic surprises too. Absolutely love this mix, and Rory seems like a great guy too… I hope you enjoy this guest mix as much as I did!
