From dry cow feeding to rising input costs

The cost of living has skyrocketed and the ripple effect on Mzansi’s farmers is heartbreaking. Two agricultural economists, Conce Moraba and Karabo Takadi, calculate that the prices of insecticides, fertiliser and herbicides rose by more than 50% during the last planting season.  Many listeners reached out for further information on dry cow management. So, we hooked up with Joubert Nolte, the national technical manager for ruminants at Meadow Feeds, to explain the feed cycle of these cows.
