Thursday 13th May     Friendship Prayer. 4   The foundation of Friendship Prayer is intimacy, it is that close companionship with God where can talk to him freely as a father and he can talk to us freely as his children. The idea of intimacy with God runs is all through the Bible. Under the Old Testament, after the fall of man, they could not relate to God as the father but some like Enoch, Abraham and a couple of others were still developed intimacy with God, Job was one of them. Most people remember Job for his suffering but not a lot know about his deep friendship with God.     Job 29 vs 4-6 (MSG), 4 Oh, how I miss those golden years when God's friendship graced my home,5 When the Mighty One was still by my side and my children were all around me, 6 When everything was going my way, and nothing seemed too difficult.   Here we see the secret of Job’s phenomenal life, he lived in Eastern part of the world which was the centre of civilization at that time. Job was a righteous and very rich man. He had an intimacy with God defined everything in his life. Job’s friendship with God automatically made him an enemy of the devil. Satan did all he could to destroy Job, killed his children, wreak havoc on his businesses, attacked his health and made his life miserable. But the good news is - God Never Abandons His Friends!   Job maintained his friendship with God even through his difficulties, he said some things wrong in a bid to justify himself before his friends. The moment God showed Job his mistakes, he owned up, his relationship with God was back on track and God brought complete restoration to Job’ life, even better than it was before. God stepped in for Job as a friend would in a time of need. A major key to Job’s restoration was his friendship with God.   I pray for you that you will experience seasons deep friendship with God
