😄 Freed From SIN! Romans 6

Folks, that's some good news! "We know that our old self (our human nature without the Holy Spirit) was nailed to the cross with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin" (Romans 6:6). We are looking at the liberating revelation in Romans, Chapter 6, that "sin will no longer be a master over you" (v. 14). Do you not know, that you don't have to give in to sin's commands and strong-armed tactics like some helpless flunky?! You, through the sacrificial death, burial and resurrection of Christ Jesus, are no longer slaves to sin! We have been set free! "Even so, consider yourselves to be dead to sin and your relationship to it broken, but alive to God in (unbroken fellowship with Him) in Christ Jesus. Therefore, do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts and passions" (vs. 11-12). We see this theme all throughout Romans 6: SIN has lost its grip on our lives and it no longer has a say, dominion, mastery and control!! Christ Jesus nailed sin to the cross! "For the person who has died with Christ has been freed from the power of sin" (v. 10)! That is why I am delighted, by the Holy Spirit, to teach on this wonderful chapter, because for so long, as believers, we have been DECEIVED, in the grips of sin, thinking that we had no control over it AND THAT WE WERE JUST STUCK IN IT! NOPE! In today's lesson, we will learn how to give sin the big "buh-bye!" DUECES! ✌ The mindset is: "My relationship with you sin, is OVER!"
