Frances Huntley Cooper

<p>This week’s episode of Black Oxygen features Frances Huntley-Cooper, Wisconsin’s first and only elected African-American mayor in the state’s history. Frances came to Wisconsin in 1973 for school and she thought she’d leave when she graduated. She didn’t leave - she ended up making Wisconsin home. In her time in Wisconsin she has served in many leadership roles at the city, county, state, national and international levels.
