Four Four Premiere: Taint - Willow Tree [DEP001]

Today’s premiere comes courtesy of Dublin techno mainstay Taint, as he releases as he releases a six track EP to mark the debut edition of Dublin label, Disintegrated. The release is comprised of four originals from Taint along with two remixes from IMNOTYOURMATE and VALAK. Today we premiere ‘Willow’, a blissful peak-time techno tool, equipped with pummelling kick drums, floating pads and fortifying soundscapes. Taint needs little introduction to as one of Ireland’s most consistent and reputable techno DJs. Taint has been sculpting a name as an in demand selector in Ireland for quite some time now with a stack of desired festival and club show appearances. Some notable show’s from Taint include; AVA Festival, Life Festival, Higher Vision Festival, as well as sharing the stage with Blawan, SPFDJ, Etapp Kyle, Remco Beekwilder, Shlømo, Christoph Faust and many more. Outside of the booth Taint has been turning heads with his productions, having released on his own imprint Research, Speed Demons, as well as a string of releases on both Four Four Magazine & Reboot Records. Taint has seen favourable support from Cleric, Stranger, Lag and more on his productions and further projects promise to follow in a similar fashion. Taint’s contribution to Disintegrated’s debut release is a testament to Taint’s work in the studio as of late and offers a selection thumping kick-drums, jarring percussion and gritty basslines through out. ‘Willow Tree’ is a a cocoon of razor sharp percussion, hammering low end, swerving synth lines, and raw energy. This is peak-time techno done properly, it’s straight energy and to the point, but also show’s a deeper side to Taint’s production prowess.
