Foreign Affairs Minister Due Before Oireachtas Committee As Zappone Controversy Continues

It comes as Minister Simon Coveney has been questioned over her proposed appointment to a UN role, after it emerged he offered Ms Zappone the job four months before it was agreed by Cabinet. Clare’s Fianna Fáil Senator believes that what should have been a relatively minor issue has been blown into a matter of considerable significance that’s taken attention away from important issues like housing, health and the economy.
