Food for Africa (Part 2)

In the centuries before the Suez Canal, the trade route between East and West had to pass Cape Town, South Africa. Established in 1652 to stock passing ships with supplies, it was in the Western Cape that Africa's first capital intensive farming took place. Almost 500 years later, that farming tradition continues and food is a major industry here. Only now, the challenge is not to supply passing ships, but rather to help provide food for a continent of more than a billion people.
