Fears A Road Death Will Occur Before Solution To Shanaway Road Junction Is Found

It's claimed the effectiveness of local representatives has been brought into question again by the lack of progress at an infamous Ennis junction. The exit from Shanway Road onto the N85 Lahinch Road has reared its head at this month's meeting of local representatives in Ennis after Fine Gael Councillor Mary Howard sought an update on traffic calming measures at the site. An executive engineer for Ennis Municipal District has confirmed that a Pedestrian Crossing Assessment is being prepared as part of a Feasiblity and Options report but no timeframe on construction has been given. Ennis Fine Gael Councillor Mary Howard says it's incredibly frustrating to have to raise the issue on a consistent basis without seeing any results.
