Description

An East Clare councillor has expressed fear that two junction on the Limerick to Galway motorway pose a "real danger" to road users. Junction 13 to Ennis, Scarriff and Tulla and Junction 14 to Barefield have come under scrutiny due to the alleged insufficient lengths of their entrance ramps which force motorists to rapidly alter their speed. Councillor Pat Hayes raised the issue at this month's Clare County Council meeting and claimed that many constituents had alerted him to the problem. The Maghera Fianna Fáil councillor says it is unacceptable for modern roads such as these to pose such a threat to the safety of motorists.
