Description
Locals in Fanore have hit out over what they've described as ‘piecemeal efforts’ to supplement water supply there. Uisce Éireann imposed water restrictions in the North Clare Village between the hours & 10pm & 6AM last night, in an effort to boost supply in the local reservoir, where levels have dipped on account of the current hot spell. In the interim period, Clare County Council has provided 10 x 1,000 litre tanks at O’Donoghue's Pub in Fanore, as a backup supply. The water requires boiling prior to consumption & local businesswoman, Sheila believes the move is an insult to the local community.
