Fairy Creek - Mar Mar & BIPOC Rights

Fairy Creek Series / Part 2 Mar-Mar is a young, white, transgender activist who fights for BIPOC voices to be heard. I heard about Mar Mar's advocation and liaison work and I asked them to speak about the rift and challenges from the BIPOC youth perspective. In this interview, we talk about challenges in communication BIPOC experienced and how it shows up on the ground. We talk about his dual role as a white privileged man (strong) and a transgender woman (weak), and their privilege to be both! Mar-Mar shares openly about what is binarism for them which gives a valuable context to further understand the BIPOC transgender community and their needs.
