Exploring PCOS by Painting the Reproductive System

This week's episode is with Canadian visual artist and designer, Helena Napal. Helena is an emerging artist currently exploring painting and sculpture and design. She came to Berlin 4 years ago with the intention of studying International Relations, however she soon became immersed in the creativity of the city and found a sense of fulfilment in facilitating arts workshops with German students. Currently, Helena seeks to better understand sexuality and identity from the female/femme perspective through her visual art practice. Her experiences of sexual trauma and reproductive health issues fuel her passion to reclaim her power and autonomy by embracing adversity and creating in the face of it.
