Excuses waste our own time, and worse yet, we waste our own energy with these low vibrational thought patterns that get in the way of our success. Excuses also keep us from making decisions and choices that are necessary.</p> <p>We move forward (or we stall) depending on these choices that we need to make. So we sometimes have to roll our sleeves up, set the excuses aside, and start making these choices. We all get the same 24 hours each and every day. We can use those hours wisely, and not let these excuses continue to stall us.</p> <p>Why do we make excuses? We might be buying time as our hidden fears begin to surface. We may think our fears are holding us back, and maybe this is true, because without fear, we might be too brave or too foolish! I mean, don’t get me wrong. I’m the kind of person who tends to walk right through my fears … <em>right through the fire</em> … to get to the other side. But I do this in a smarter way these days, not the foolish ways that I attempted in my youth.</p> <p>One of the best ways to overcome our fears is to <em>strategize</em>. Instead of trying to work through our fears with an analytical mind, which isn’t the easiest thing to do, we can simply move to a different playground altogether. It’s similar to the concept of “feel the fear and do it anyway.” A simple way to get moving is to start strategizing some possible new outcomes.</p> <p>Fear and strategy can't really exist in the same space.
