Etching Memories from the Past

Today's episode is with pen & ink illustrator and scenic painter, Emma Van Halsema. Born and raised in a 19th century farmhouse in North Carolina, USA, Emma has always been inspired by people and places of the past. She now resides in Portland, Oregon, where she fabricates and paints miniature sets and props for stop motion animation. She is currently a scenic painter for her first feature film. Alongside this, Emma is making a name for herself as a pen and ink illustrator inspired by old photos she finds and takes around Oregon.
