ESOP Summer School Mini-cast 28: "If It's the Last Thing I Do," an ESOP-themed Novel

To celebrate this week's release of David Fitz-Gerald's new ESOP-themed book, we're featuring it as part of our annual EO/ESOP Podcast Summer School series. We selected some of our favorite episodes over the past year for your enjoyment while we spend the rest of our summer catching our breath and working on launching our exciting Season 7, beginning in September 2023. In this episode, Bret Keisling highlighted the Kickstarter campaign for "If It's the Last Thing I Do" by ESOP champion David Fitz-Gerald, which tells the story of a retired receptionist who unexpectedly inherits her father's business and converts it into an ESOP in the late 1970s. The story includes many twists and turns that will be familiar to anyone involved in ESOP transitions and business succession. David is a past board chairman of The ESOP Association, and long-time CFO of Carris Reels, a legendary ESOP based in Vermont.
