ESB Urged To Resolve Lighting And Cabling Issues In Clare Estates

The ESB has been urged to resolve lighting and cabling issues in Clare housing estates amid health and safety concerns. It follows a number of recent reports of 'blackouts' in estates across the county owing to ESB and Safe Electric repair teams temporarily disconnecting power and not reconnecting it until a later time. Fine Gael Councillor Mary Howard has asked Clare County Council to liaise with the two electricity providers with a view to resolving the issue and expediting repair times. The Ennis representative claims repair teams must work faster in order to prevent lighting blackouts at night time as winter approaches.
