EPL: Wrong decision – Michael Owen gives verdict on Alexis Mac Allister’s red card

<p>Liverpool legend, Michael Owen reckons midfielder Alexis Mac Allister was wrongly sent off during the Reds’ Premier League win against Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday.</p>, <p>Liverpool was reduced to 10 men after Mac Allister was given his marching orders for a late challenge on Ryan Christie.</p>, <p>The Argentina international was shown a straight red in the second half after Liverpool came back to lead the tie 2-1 after initially going a goal down.</p>, <p>In the post-match show, Owen said: “It is a yellow for me. There is no way on earth that is a red card.</p>, <p>“Don’t get me wrong, he’s a fraction of a second late, so it’s a yellow but not a red card. It is a wrong decision.”</p>, <p>Despite going a man down, Liverpool managed to win 3-1 against Bournemouth.</p>, <p>Goals from Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota gave Jurgen Klopp’s side the victory.</p>
