<p>Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire has opened up on why he did not leave the club this summer.</p>, <p>Maguire was heavily tipped to move on after he was stripped of the captaincy by manager, Erik ten Hag.</p>, <p>He has played only 23 minutes so far this season and had offers to leave Old Trafford.</p>, <p>However, no deal was reached and Maguire remained with United, despite slipping down the pecking order.</p>, <p>“We just didn’t come to an agreement and they were happy for me to stay and I was happy to fight for my place.</p>, <p>“I want to do that and every time I train or play I will give everything. I know, at the moment, when I have not started a game in the first four games of the season, the story comes to me,” Maguire, whose contract runs until 2025, said.</p>
