EPL: I played 43 formations against Man City – Arteta defends tactics

<p>Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has defended his tactical decisions this season.</p>, <p>The Gunners have taken seven points from their first three fixtures.</p>, <p>Arteta’s men beat Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace, but were held to a 2-2 draw at home to 10-man Fulham last week.</p>, <p>Those unconvincing performances have led some to question Arteta’s wisdom in tweaking his tactics for the new seasons.</p>, <p>The Spaniard has used Thomas Partey as a right-back and largely operates with a single midfield pivot.</p>, <p>When asked if he felt like reverting to last season’s approach for Sunday’s visit of Manchester United, Arteta said: “I played differently against Manchester City (in the Community Shield) and there were 43 different formations.”</p>
