EPL: He’s looking sharp – Alan Shearer on Arsenal star

<p>Newcastle United legend, Alan Shearer has said that Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus is looking ‘sharp’ once again after his recent short period with injury.</p>, <p>Jesus injured his knee while on international duty with Brazil’s national team last December, which compelled Arsenal to sign Leandro Trossard from Brighton & Hove Albion in January.</p>, <p>At the start of the 2023/24 season, the Brazilian was once again sidelined for a brief period after undergoing knee surgery.</p>, <p>Jesus has since returned to first-team action and featured in all of Arsenal’s last four games across competitions.</p>, <p>The former Manchester City star was handed his first start of the season in the UEFA Champions League group-stage opener against PSV Eindhoven on 20 September.</p>, <p>He put his name on the scoresheet in the 38th minute as Mikel Arteta’s side thrashed PSV 4-0 at Emirates Stadium.</p>, <p>“He Jesus is back, he is looking sharp, he is looking fresh, and I think Arsenal have got a really, really good squad,” Shearer told ‘The Rest is Football’ podcast (h/t HITC).</p>, <p>Jesus will hope to lead Arsenal to victory when they host Tottenham this weekend in a Premier League derby.</p>
