<p>Chelsea boss, Mauricio Pochettino, has reacted to the news that defender Wesley Fofana has undergone anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery.</p>, <p>Fofana did not travel to the USA for Chelsea’s pre-season tour due to specialist medical assessments, which eventually unfortunately confirmed that an operation was required for the 22-year-old.</p>, <p>Fofana will now be sidelined, and Pochettino believes it was bad news, adding that the entire Chelsea squad is sad.</p>, <p>“It’s really sad, really bad news. We feel so sad. All we can do is help him,” Pochettino said at his pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s pre-season friendly against Wrexham in Chapel Hill.</p>, <p>“We know it’s a tough injury, but we hope he can be with the team as soon as possible.”</p>
