EPL: Ashley Cole blames Pochettino over decision during Chelsea’s 3-1 loss to West Ham

<p>Former Chelsea left-back, Ashley Cole believes manager, Mauricio Pochettino got a key substitution wrong during his side’s Premier League 3-1 defeat against West Ham United on Sunday.</p>, <p>Chelsea midfielder, Carney Chukwuemeka scored his first senior goal to make it 1-1 in the first half for Pochettino’s side after Nayef Aguerd opened the scoring for West Ham.</p>, <p>Pochettino substituted Chukwuemeka at half-time and replaced him with Ukrainian, Mykhailo Mudryk.</p>, <p>But Cole was not pleased with Pochettino’s decision.</p>, <p>“Maybe the substitution Carney off, Mykhailo on caused an issue.</p>, <p>“They Chelsea lost a bit of impetus in the game. They were not getting the runs in behind between right-back and centre-back. It was all then too easy for West Ham,” Cole told Sky Sports.</p>, <p>He added, “Pochettino will have understood the context behind the change but I felt they lost a bit of ability to drive beyond and cause West Ham a problem.”</p>, <p>The result against West Ham means Chelsea now have one point from two matches.</p>
