EPL: Alan Shearer slams Man United attacker for going to nightclub

<p>Newcastle legend, Alan Shearer has said it was ‘stupid’ for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford to attend a nightclub after his club’s recent defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League.</p>, <p>Shearer also insisted that the England international should have cancelled his birthday celebrations.</p>, <p>Recall that Rashford drew the ire of his manager Erik ten Hag after he was pictured out in a nightclub in Manchester after Man City defeated the Red Devils 3-0 a few days ago.</p>, <p>Ten Hag labelled Rashford’s decision as ‘unacceptable’ but said the 26-year-old had apologised for the mistake and the issue was now resolved.</p>, <p>“I don’t care if it is your birthday on a Saturday night. If you’ve been dumped 3-0 and it is a terrible performance you’ve got to read the room,” Shearer said on The Rest Is Football podcast.</p>, <p>“The number of times that that happened to me where we had a dinner planned or this planned and we have been beaten on a Saturday night and I have said, ‘I can’t go out, I’m not going out’.</p>, <p>“You can’t go into town, into a nightclub on the night you’ve been dumped 3-0 off your neighbours. You can’t do it, it’s just a no-no.”</p>, <p>“It was daft, it was stupid for Marcus to do that, whether it’s your birthday or not, you can’t go out after you’ve been battered.”</p>
