Epistle of Romans 9:6-13 - God's choice of Israel as the nation through whom the Messiah would come - Prog 56

<p><br></p> <p>In our study today, the Unchanging Word </p> <p>is continuing in the book of Romans. We are</p> <p>in chapter 9 beginning at verse 6.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Verses 6-13 begin to show the privilege of the people of Israel who are of the promise</p> <p>of God, not those who are of the flesh, but of those whom God chose. </p> <p>The Apostle Paul makes a distinction between Israel according to the flesh, </p> <p>and Israel according to the promise. </p> <p><br></p> <p>Israel according to the promise came through Isaac, </p> <p>Abraham&#39;s only beloved son although Abraham had </p> <p>a total of 8 sons in  his lifetime.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Dr. Mitchell brings out what Jesus Himself said concerning </p> <p>the distinction between Jews who are of the seed of Abraham </p> <p>and those who are the actual children of Abraham. </p> <p><br></p> <p>These verses in <a href="https://biblehub.com/nasb_/romans/9.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer"><strong>Romans 9:6-13</strong></a> reveal God&#39;s righteousness in choosing Jacob </p> <p>instead of Esau before they had done anything good or bad, not yet having been born, </p> <p>that God&#39;s purpose according to choice might be established. </p> <p>It seems God&#39;s choice was made while they were in the womb </p> <p>rather than before they were conceived.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Turn with Dr. Mitchell in your Bible to <a href="https://biblehub.com/nasb_/romans/9.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer"><strong>Romans 9:6</strong></a>.</p> --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/unchanging-word/message
