Vlad III of Wallachia, aka Vlad Dracula, aka Vlad the Impaler, was an especially brutal ruler even when judging by the especially brutal time he lived in.</strong></p> <p><strong>Vlad’s on-again, off-again rule over Wallachia was rife with an unthinkable amount of executions for even the most minor of offenses.
