<p>For our conversation today, Julia and I discussed the Dixie Chicks and their seventh studio album <em>Taking the Long Way</em>, which was released back in 2006 on Columbia Nashville. "The Chicks" as they are known today, received quite a back of backlash at this juncture of their career for their beliefs and their refusal to apologize or back down to anyone.
