Description

Thank you for joining me!

In this session we cover:

Why emotional regulation is so crucial

What is going on in a child's brain and body during an upset.

How to do it, what to say, how to rôle model. It's pretty simple for all ages!

Our learning journey (or perhaps unlearning) that needs to take place before we will be able to fully step into this space of acceptance and collaborative approach to emotional regulation.

Feelings are called feelings because we're meant to 'feel' them! So why are we 'talking' about them to our children but not supporting them in actually 'feeling' them? 🤔

It is imperative it is to support our children in feeling their feelings firstly in their BODIES before we rush to label them, to intellectualise them, or apply logic and reasoning to them.

Supporting our children in emotional regulation is a partnership that begins in early childhood. And this is as relevant to a two year old as it is for a fifteen year old. 💖

These are the real 'life skills' that we are not taught about in school!

Visit enrichingenvironments.com SHOP for my transformative online Parent Enrichment Courses.
