Episode 7: Pioneer Products We Still Use Today

<p><img src= "https://assets.libsyn.com/secure/show/337586/ColmansMustard.jpg" alt="" width="151" height="192" /></p> <p>In this show, the Marshal and the Madam explore some of the products the pioneers used that we still do today.</p> <p>They'll share some fun details about boots, food and drink, musical instruments, firearms, and personal care products.</p> <p>This show's <strong>lagniappe</strong>:</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Cheese Sandwiches</strong></p> <p>Makes 6 sandwiches</p> <p>This recipe appears in Sherry's book, <em>Tinsel, Tumbleweeds, and Star-Spangled Celebrations</em>.</p> <p> </p> <p>2 cups grated parmesan cheese</p> <p>1 cup butter</p> <p>1 teaspoon mustard</p> <p>Salt and pepper to taste</p> <p>6 slices white bread</p> <p>6 slices brown or wheat bread</p> <p> </p> <p>Mix cheese, butter, and mustard together in a medium bowl and beat well. Taste for seasoning and add salt and pepper if needed.</p> <p>Spread the cheese filling between the two slices of bread.
