<p>They say "shoot for the edit" or have the edit in mind when on set. There's a lot of truth to that especially for those of us working in the advertising or promo video space. Whether it's a 30 sec commercial, a 3 minute branded-doc or longer form narrative the ability to know how the edit is constructed and what can make or break the edit will make you a better creator, cinematographer, visual story teller.
